Joni

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

1. Introduction

Joni ("we", "our", or "us") provides a mobile application that helps parents track their baby's sleep, feeding, and diaper changes. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Joni app ("App").

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect, upload, or store your baby's care data on our servers. Joni is designed so that your information stays on your device. We do not require an account, do not operate a cloud database of your logs, and do not sell or share your baby's information with third parties for advertising or marketing.

3. Information stored on your device

When you use Joni, the following information is stored only on your device:

  • Baby profile: name and date of birth (optional)
  • Sleep sessions: start/end times, sleep type, quality, notes
  • Feeding sessions: time, type (breast, bottle, solid), durations, volumes, notes
  • Diaper changes: time, type, notes
  • App preferences: e.g. notification settings and onboarding state

We do not require you to create an account or provide your email address to use the App.

4. How information is used

Information on your device is used solely to:

  • Display your baby's dashboard, history, and predictions
  • Schedule optional local feed reminders
  • Export your data when you choose to do so

We do not use your baby's data for advertising or sell it to third parties. Predictions and summaries are calculated on your device from your local logs.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored locally on your phone using on-device database storage. We do not transmit your care logs to Joni servers. There is no cloud copy of your data unless you choose to export and save it elsewhere.

You are responsible for securing your device (passcode, biometrics, backups). If you export data (e.g. as a CSV file), you control where that file is shared or stored.

6. Sharing of information

We do not automatically share your information with third parties — we do not have access to it. You may choose to export and share your data with healthcare providers or others.

7. Third-party services

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play. Those platforms may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

If you enable notifications, your device's operating system delivers them; notification content is generated locally based on your logs.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for use by parents and caregivers. Information about a baby is entered by the parent or caregiver. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

9. Your choices

  • Notifications: Enable or disable in App Settings.
  • Export: Export your data at any time from Settings.
  • Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device (subject to your OS backup behaviour).

10. Data retention

Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. We do not retain copies on our servers because we do not receive your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
